We’ve included all of the software components, protocols, and interfaces you’ll need – all of which can be installed with a single, wizard-based Windows installer in under an hour.
Pano Zero Client – a purpose-built desktop virtualisation device that contains no CPU, no memory, no operating system, no drivers, no software and no moving parts – connecting over your local area network to Windows XP or Windows 7 desktop virtual machines. Pano Manager – Pano Logic’s centralized hypervisor-independent management interface and connection broker that enables administrators to manage their entire virtual desktop deployment. Pano Direct Service (Pano DAS) – A lightweight service residing within each desktop virtual machine that extends its system bus across the network to connect your Pano Zero Clients to desktop virtual machines running on data center servers.
Integrate with VMware, Microsoft or Citrix Platforms The Pano System runs on top of the virtualisation platforms provided by one of:
VMware: vSphere 4.1-5.0 and vCenter Server 4.1-5.0, or VMware View Enterprise or Premier 4.1-5.0. Panos are certified as VMware Ready™.
Microsoft: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V or Hyper-V Server 2008 R2, and System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
Citrix: Citrix XenDesktop 4-5 and the included XenServer hypervisor or VMware vSphere ESX/ESXi 4.1. For optional redundancy/scalability, add Citrix NetScaler MPX/VPX 9.2 for load balancing. Panos are Citrix Ready Community Verified.
These platforms virtualize the server’s processor, memory, storage and networking resources to run multiple desktop virtual machines, providing greater utilization and increased resilience. Pano Manager can also integrate each platform’s management tools to provide enhanced and highly scalable desktop virtual machine provisioning and connection brokering capabilities.
